So, I was told a couple of weeks ago that nursery has organised a ‘Superhero Party’ for the pre-school group… to say goodbye to those who will be leaving for school come September.
So, I was told the date.
So, I forgot. I started it over the weekend, bought the foam card and cut the mask out… but somehow I had it in my head that it’s on Thursday but NO! It’s today. I thought I’d finish it first thing this morning after I had my meal before I start my month of Ramadan fasting… but of course Little Bee came looking for me and I had to take her back to bed. When the alarm rang and after I had my shower, I sat down and finished it off… just putting the elastic on as I did the whiskers and sparkles last night.
But of course in my haste… I twisted the elastic band and it was too long… I must have thought that my child has a big head indeed. Oh well… I’m sure she’ll have a good party anyway.
And which superhero she’ll be? Cat Woman… so she’s a baddie… but Batman still likes her
It is a bit big as you notice Little Bee modelling it below… but she seems to think that it’s perfect… so it must be
Over the weekend, I was in the kitchen and Little Bee was in her room until I heard her scream ‘Mama! Come here! Mama! Come here!’
When I got to her room, she presented me with this masterpiece:
I told her that the left one was a cute cat and asked her what was the one on the right. She said it was another cat of course. I said that I wasn’t sure as I couldn’t see it’s cats ears and she looked at me with her ‘teacher look’ and told me that ‘Cats have whiskers’.
Well… now I know.
It warmed up yesterday and the sun came out when I went to pick Little Bee up from nursery. As we walked back, I decided to revive what we used to do when we bump into cats in Tooting… and now Little Bee can press the button… so these are her photos of Cats in Tooting
I then had to take my phone away from Little Bee… she would have been happy to keep on snapping away though but I had chores to do at home…
For one and half years that Little Bee and I walk home from Nursery, we always look out for this white and black cat. It’s always friendly and eager for affection.
But today, on our way home we looked up when we were nearing the cat’s house and saw this:
Pillow is no more
