I couldn’t find the keys to the back garden so Little Bee and I spent the afternoon in the front garden repotting the lemon plant, planting some bulbs (which I can’t remember what they are) that I bought months ago and after a visit from the RSPCA lady, we played hopscotch.

Yes, let’s take advantage of the weather as you never know what tomorrow will be.

We had a wonderful day out with Mummy Liz and Little Bee’s current love Nate on Friday. We went to Southbank, build cardboard world, had sushi, run around the park, cross the bridge and had coffee and cake down a crypt.
After all the rain, it was nice to have a lovely sunny day.
And on the way back, we stopped at Sainsbury’s and Little Bee insisted that stop at the flower corner and buy these.
Now… we’re desperately waiting for Spring to arrive.

I bought Little Bee some bulbs a month or so back so these are her flowers.
Last weekend, the hyacinths bloomed.
And yesterday it was the turn of her amaryllis.
Little Bee is a happy Bee indeed.

The past couple of days Little Bee has been painting. When she woke up this morning she insisted she wanted to paint again and this is what she painted.
Hubby said it looks like tulips in Holland… I think as there are two suns in the painting, it has to be Tatooine.
Time to save up and take her to Keukenhof this spring.

A colleague came in and asked me how I am and I grunted at him. Then I proceeded to say that I’m unwell and that in the Metro paper today there’s an article about work environment making people ill by not having opened window, natural light and plants… and all three affects me during my working hours.
When he came back from lunch, he put this on my desk
It matches with the fake potted plant Little Bee got for me. Having them on my desk makes work just a little bit better.

Autumn is on its way. The spiders been weaving their webs for weeks now and it is September. Although there’s a forecast of warm temperature for mid-week, who are we kidding? The cold weather is just around the corner and will be staying for months.
So, this morning when I left for work, I decided to bring in my bunga kertas plant… loosely translate to paper flower plant or its proper scientific name bougainvillea spectabilis.
Oh yes… the picture is out of focus… with it focusing on next door front garden rather than my plant… but I was in a rush.
Hopefully my plant will survive the winter will be out again next summer.

I love the idea of gardening but I hate the idea of weeding. So my back garden has been full of weed.
But I am trying to embrace container gardening…
So this year, I managed to plant a couple of aubergine plant and put them on my window sil and when I remember I water them… and when I think about it, I will put some plant food in their pots.
The amount of times they’ve shrivel in the heat due to lack of water… I’ve lost count.
But boy was I surprised when I saw flowers blooming last week!
Maybe… just maybe I’ll get an aubergine or two.
No… I haven’t learnt. I still only water them when I remember and put in some plant food when the thought cross my mind.

Back in March, Little Bee planted some sunflower seeds. Once the started to grow and we planted most of the out in the back garden. I left one on the windowsill but a couple of weeks ago moved it to the front garden as it actually took a tumble!
Last week they started to bloom. Lovely indeed…
Yesterday as I was preparing the pizza I saw a squirrel ripping the flower and sat on hubby’s shed, MUNCHING THE SUNFLOWER!! These grey squirrels are such pests!! I can’t plant anything in the garden without being destroyed by them!
It’s been raining for a couple of days… and this morning as I left for work, I noticed snails or slugs been munching on the sunflower in the front garden!
Oh well… we’ll just have to try again next year.

I think I bought this orchid plant before Little Bee was born. It was blooming when I bought it but then, it has been flowerless. I haven’t been very good to it and only gave it my attention on and off, mostly off. The poor little thing… so I was very impressed when I saw a stalk growing and now this…
