Little Bee’s Auntie Ruth gave her a little Easter craft bag when we saw her a couple of weeks ago… so this afternoon, Little Bee had a go and making it. She’s getting a bit frustrated at the oopsies and having to unstitch and stitch again… but I told her I’m not going to finish it for her. She has to make the stitching herself. I know… I’m such a horrible Mama.
Little Bee is not well. This afternoon, as I sat on the sofa watching her sleep, I made an owl using pajamas and t-shirt that are now too small for her and scraps of felt and material I have lying around the house.
She came back to the sofa as I was finishing the owl tonight. She’s now sleeping by me hugging the owl while I type this and watch my usual Monday TV.
Ages ago I made Mr Octopus from Little Bee’s old tights.
Then I started putting aside all the single socks that came out from the washing machine hoping that maybe the sock muncher will stop holding the other pairs hostage. But that never happened and Little Bee’s feet keeps growing… and I can’t give single socks to charity… so they hang on my lonely socks line in the kitchen.
A couple of days ago, my good friend Lyndt in Malaysia pin up this site on pinterest… so last night I started sewing with the minimum sewing kit I have. I can’t believe that I only have black thread! Must make a trip to the haberdashery soon just to get some white, red and other colours of the rainbow thread.
Anyway, when I woke up to have my meal at 3am before I start my fast, I decided to finish the little scrap and here it is.
A bit messy, but hey… I don’t think it’s too bad for my first try. Maybe I will get that Stray Sock Sewing book… we’ll see.
